Garnet is a programmable high-voltage avalanche photo diode (APD) driver for portable LIDAR applications.

Garnet is designed to run from a lithium battery.  A pre-bias gate driver micro-step-up converter allows efficient control of an external FET for the secondary phase.  The high-voltage secondary step-up converter can easily be configured to generate either a positive or negative output voltage. 

Garnet is completely configurable through I2C.    

Garnet's unique control algorithm greatly reduces the number of external components, minimizes stress on the input source, and reduces output ripple. Protection features include cycle-by-cycle current limit, thermal protection and pin fault handling.
