Salem30 is a high voltage (30V) step-up converter with driver designed to drive capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducers (CMUT) used in ultrasound.

Salem30 generates a programmable step-up voltage from a low voltage supply (VDD). A fast, high voltage amplifier (4-ohm) drives the transducer with high voltage pulses.  The size and shape of the pulse are configurable, allowing control of the number of pulses, frequency and duty cycle. An open drain flag (PP) signals when the transducer is being driven.

Salem30 is controlled through an I2C interface. If I2C is not available, Salem30 can be factory configured to use pins ‘CE’, ’CLOCK’, and ‘FIRE’ to control the driver.
